As most of you have already likely noticed, we have been forced again to cancel one of the scheduled Rally events for 2020. Everyone has been affected differently during this COVID-19 crisis and we continue to pivot as events unfold.

Colchester to Norwich

That being said, the Rally team has been hard at work on the Summer Rally up until this point. We still have an awesome route planned and here are some of the details:

• Starting Location: 2 Wheels Coffee Roasters (27 Broadway St, Colchester, CT 06415)
• Ending Location: Norwich Inn and Spa (607 W Thames St, Norwich, CT 06360)

The route will begin in Colchester and wind through the very scenic back roads to Salem, Lebanon, and Norwich. As has become tradition, it will be a Gimmick style Rally. The Rally will be split into navigation based and photo identification based sections. The only question that remained was when this event would be run.

Summer Fall Rally

We had to postpone the Rally Academy (TBD) as we were unable to operate under the Connecticut restrictions on event/group size (no greater than 5 people).

Since restrictions on event/group size were not lifted, we were forced with a hard decision. What do we do with the Summer Rally?

We determined any version of Rally that would comply with a 5 person event/group size would not come close to the fun, social, and challenging (hopefully mild) experience you have all come to expect and enjoy. We decided the best option was to cancel the Summer Rally and run the route in the Fall Rally’s place. This will give us the most amount of time plan the best possible Rally.

Running a Rally in the current environment will be challenging but rest assured! The Rally Team has met virtually and developed procedures to address the current safety and compliance concerns. As we get closer to the event date, updates will be provided via www.Motorsportreg.com.
