And the 2021 DE season begins …..

The first CVR DE event of the 2021 season opens for registration on February 1st at 1 pm.  All registration for CVR DE events is on ClubRegistration.net. We will be holding our Winter Workshop Car Control Clinic at Lime Rock Park on Saturday, February 27th.  This event is open to all levels of drivers, 18 and older, with any car they want to bring.

The WWCCC will offer a great chance to experience some fun while getting your car loose.   The day is focused on feeling the limits of your car, in a controlled safe environment, under the supervision of several pro-coaches. This event is limited to only 27 drivers in total so that we can ensure all drivers get plenty of opportunities in each cell we have set up.

If you are bored and have nothing planned for the near future (cancelled vacations, no family/friend gatherings, etc) the WWCCC will be a fun addition to your blank calendar. And, you’ll get an event shirt to add to your collection.

We are looking forward to having our beginner students back on track, hopefully by June or July.  We will have strict guidelines in place, to keep all participants safe while we wait for the ‘all clear’ from the Covid pandemic.

We are looking to start back up as normal as soon as it is safe to do so but things may change as conditions change.  Moving forward, there are a few new guidelines that will be in place when we start back with students.  Please see the ‘In-Car Instruction’ sign below.

The most significant change is that we will not offer loaner helmets for new drivers.  If you are going to buy a helmet, you must buy a SA2015 or newer, full-face helmet, plus a compatible headset and cord.   Rules may change slightly as the pandemic comes under control.  Here’s hoping that is soon.

Stay safe.

Dave
