Announcing the New “AutoX Pre-Drive Zoom Call”!

“Better Driving…Faster!” is not just a slogan. CVR’s AutoX-University program is once again leading the country to realize that claim. Join the first AutoX Pre-Drive Zoom Call on Wednesday Sept 7th at 6:00pm. Just register for the September AutoX before then and email Paul Kudra (AutoX@pca.org ) for the Zoom link. This is a great opportunity to discuss your thoughts and questions about how to best drive the unique Sept 10th AutoX course and to hear how others plan to drive it, including experienced drivers and AutoX Chief Driving Instructor, Ed Bogue.

The Pre-Drive pilot got rave reviews from each participant, both during and after that call, each saying they drove the actual course better because of it. Each also urged us to offer this again before the next AutoX and going forward. So here we are, another CVR AutoX-U competitive edge but in true CVR fashion, offered to all.

This AutoX Pre-Drive Zoom Call builds on the other unique ways our CVR AutoX-U program helps accelerate and refine driving skills for each participant regardless of experience level. Download the actual course map from our CVR AutoX web page (https://cvrpca.com/autox/ ) about a week before the event and think about how you will best apply the 14 AutoX-U driving skills to squeeze time from the clock. Then share your thoughts and questions on the Zoom Call while we all look at the map together. When you arrive at the actual event on Sept 10th you’ll have new insights and confidence that will show right from the starting flag. You’ll also have a premeditated jump on how to refine your next runs as the day progresses to keep “finding time”.

Lime Rock Park’s beautiful expanse of smooth pavement in B-Paddock will again host our September 10th CVR AutoX. A special combination of twisty corners has been designed into the course to sharpen your Cornering and Line-Reading skills like no other venue. Plenty of open space will keep you safe as you navigate the soft cones defining the course. With great Instructors and camaraderie, you will have an amazing amount of fun and go home with a big smile.

Continuously serving on the CVR Board since shortly after joining in 1979, and now also as national PCA AutoX Chair, my real drive and enthusiasm comes from sharing the pursuit of “Better Driving…Faster!” with others, both at DE and AutoX events, from race tracks to parking lots to go-kart tracks. The creativity of making new AutoX-University courses to highlight different driving skills allows me to express the freedom and fun only experienced when driving truly flat-out!
