2024 Connecticut Valley Region & Lime Rock Park RULES and REGULATIONS
To ensure that all participants and guests have a safe and enjoyable visit at Lime Rock Park during the CVR Club Race, the following rules and regulations are in effect:
- Open fires are not allowed anywhere on Lime Rock Park grounds (except in approved camping areas) and must be in containers designed for that purpose. Small home grills, hibachis and small gas grills are permitted in the paddocks if operated at a safe distance from any flammable sources. Lime Rock reserves the right to determine what a safe distance from flammable sources is and what is an acceptable grill or hibachi. No fires on pavement.
- Lime Rock Park operates under a strict governmental Injunction limiting hours of operation and
set noise restrictions. Cars may ONLY be operated on the Course during the hours specified
on page 2 of this Agreement, and under no circumstances before or after the following hours:
Monday – Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday No on track activity permitted. - Race/Unmuffled engines may not be started prior to 9:00 a.m. The starting of race/Unmuffled engines prior to 9:00 a.m. is expressly forbidden and violators may be subject to immediate removal from the EVENT. At no time may engine noise be in violation of Lime Rock’s dB limits. Note: On race weekend Friday’s, unmuffled engines cannot be started before 10:00 a.m.
- No vehicles of any kind are permitted on the Race Course, Autocrosses and Skid Pad without the express consent of Lime Rock.
- User agrees to provide, or contract with Lime Rock to provide, the following:
a. Corner workers 18 years of age or older to man, at a minimum, safety stations number 1, 3, 4, 5, Uphill, Bridge, and Start / Finish. b. Any necessary equipment for race flagging and communications (Lime Rock shall provide 7 flag sets and 2 radios). - User agrees to provide officials, workers and equipment as may be necessary for adequate organization and control of Events including but not limited to, personnel for vehicle safety and technical inspection, pit and paddock control, radio communications, timing and scoring (if applicable Lime Rock will provide 2 radios).
- User will have such authority and control as may be required for managing and conducting the Event, including control over, but not limited to, the Race Course and other Courses, and Lime Rock shall determine who is a Participant for all purposes and shall exclude all persons from the Course other than Participants.
- Lime Rock shall have the right, at any time, in its sole discretion, to refuse admission to or eject from Lime Rock Park or from any facility in Lime Rock Park any person for conduct which may be unsafe, discourteous, verbally, or physically abusive, influenced by alcohol, drugs, or controlled substances, or may otherwise diminish the safety, health, or enjoyment of others on the premises.
- Lime Rock Park reserves the right to halt Track and Proving Ground Operations to facilitate truck crossings in order for Lime Rock Park to continue its daily operations. Lime Rock Park will make every effort to limit the crossings to 10:00am and 2:00pm when possible.
- The flying of any drones, fixed-wing or rotor, is strictly prohibited at Lime Rock Park during any ticketed or un-ticketed spectator events. Violations may result in confiscation of drone and drone apparatus and expulsion from the property, at Lime Rock management’s sole discretion. Commercial use of drones may be allowed but only with prior application to and approval by Lime Rock Park.
- In accordance with Connecticut state regulations, Lime Rock retains the right to halt on-track activities at any point during the period specified in this agreement.
- The operator of any vehicle, whether registered for road use or not, on access and paddock roads must hold a valid operator’s permit and insurance covering that vehicle.
- User agrees, at its own expense to:
a. Control and be responsible for the actions and failures to act of all Invitees of User,
personnel, Participants, guests, agents, and others entering Lime Rock Park at the
direction or invitation or authority of User.
b. Print and mail all entry blanks for all Participants containing all applicable Lime Rock
Park rules provided in this Agreement or otherwise.
c. Arrange and conduct all Event parties and meals.
d. Provide any and all prizes, trophies and or awards for each Event. - User is responsible to pay for all damage to the track, Autocross Courses, skid pad, and other facilities incurred in connection with Renter’s Event, including but not limited to damage to structures, Armco, tire walls, shrubbery, and trees.
- The user is responsible to pay for all damage to asphalt in the paddock or other areas incurred in connection with Renter’s Event, including but not limited to holes or depressions caused by tent supports, trailer supports, or the like.
- Recreational vehicles such as scooters and skating systems will not be allowed to operate on the premises of Lime Rock Park, including but not limited to the Race Course or on access or paddock roads.
- Bicycles are allowed in camping at all times. After 6:00 p.m. until dark and from dawn until 7:00 a.m., fans and participants may ride bicycles in the paddocks and on roadways. Lime Rock Park reserves the right to impound any bicycles if they are being ridden in an unsafe manner (as judged by Lime Rock personnel).
- Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult while in the paddocks. For their safety and that of others, children must be kept under adult supervision at all times.
- Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to drive golf carts at Lime Rock Park. This applies to all golf carts including those that are rented at Lime Rock or privately owned.
- Lime Rock does not allow pets at its Spectator Events. If the User wishes to permit pets at Non-Spectator Events it is responsible to ensure that all pets are leashed, cleaned up after and supervised at all times, for the safety of the pet and that of others.
- Alcoholic beverages are permitted in the paddocks and pits fifteen (15) minutes after on-track activity has ceased for the day and until 10:00 p.m. Lime Rock has the right to suspend driving privileges for any driver found to be out of compliance.
- Quiet time on Lime Rock Park grounds is between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
- Weapons and fireworks are prohibited on Lime Rock Park property at all times.
- Fluid waste must be placed in approved Lime Rock Park disposal containers located at various sites in the paddocks and NEVER on the ground.
- User shall ensure that its Participants take with them all broken vehicle parts, batteries, scrap metals, tires, etc. Lime Rock will invoice the User the cost of removal or $200 (whichever is greater) for each such item left on Lime Rock Park’s grounds after the Event.
- Persons under 18 years of age are not permitted in the hot pits or at corner stations, unless a registered driver participant.
- No passengers, other than designated instructors, are permitted in vehicles without the express consent of Lime Rock.
- Track rides for persons 18 years of age and older may be permitted with the consent of Lime Rock. Vehicles must be operated by approved licensed race drivers. Restraints and helmets must be worn by both driver and passengers. Drivers must maintain reasonable speeds set by Lime Rock Park Management. Lime Rock reserves the right to require additional protective gear and decline track access to an individual for any reason.
- Helmets, long pants, and closed-toe shoes are required of drivers and instructors while on the Race Course at speeds exceeding 60 m.p.h.
- Open cars must be equipped with a roll bar meeting the following specifications: (i) the roll bar must be of sufficient height to ensure that the top of the driver’s helmet sits below the line from the top of the roll bar to the top of the windshield (commonly referred to as the “broomstick test”) and; (ii) the roll bar must be fixed and visible at all times when the vehicle is on the track.
- To facilitate emergency vehicle access, race and personal vehicles must not be parked on any paddock road or safety access lane during an Event. Any vehicle not in compliance will be towed at the User’s expense.
- No vehicles, equipment, trucks or trailers may be brought into or left in the facility prior to the start of the Event without prior approval from Lime Rock. Lime Rock is not responsible for any vehicles, equipment, trucks or trailers left unattended.
- Traffic in A Paddock is ONE WAY counterclockwise and limited to 5 MPH.
- Traffic in B Paddock is two-way and is limited to 5 MPH.
- Participants and/or guests desiring an electrical hookup must not have cords cross or impede any roadway or access area where vehicles or pedestrians cross, unless cords are covered with town and state approved safety cover (e.g., “yellow jacket”, “speed bump”).
- Due to Connecticut law and DEP regulations, no car washing is permitted anywhere at Lime Rock Park unless and until a dedicated car washing facility is installed and available for public use. However, washing of tractor trailers and other vehicles by a DEP-compliant vendor with suitable waste water recovery equipment is permitted.
- User is responsible for all fines (civil and criminal) incurred by User and its assignees (or by Lime Rock, as owner of Lime Rock Park, based on the activities of User, its Participants, or guests) while renting facility.
- The User shall, without supervision or interference from Lime Rock or any other persons, conduct and be responsible for the registration, inspection, practice and program of each Event. User agrees to comply with and conform to the laws of the State of Connecticut, and with any other applicable Federal, State or local statutes, regulations, or court orders and any applicable municipal laws and ordinances, so far as the use of Lime Rock Park by User and its agents, officers, employees and members is and are concerned. However it is agreed by the User that they shall have no right to: (i) the naming of any Event; (ii) use a pace or show car not approved by Lime Rock during the Event; (iii) place any advertising on Lime Rock Park premises; (iv) film or broadcast any Event; (v) cause to be erected any structure including tents; (vi) permit food or beverage of any nature to be catered on Lime Rock Park premises by anyone other than Lime Rock Catering (vii) engage any support effort such as, but not limited to, wreckers, ambulances, mechanics, garages, welders, etc., or (viii) allow any Participant to engage in the consumption of alcohol prior to the end of all on track activities for the day. A reasonable fine of $1000.00 will be assessed by Lime Rock against User, and payable by User upon demand from Lime Rock, for each and every violation as outlined above.

ANY FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS MAY RESULT IN A NON-REFUNDABLE EXPULSION FROM LIME ROCK PARK. PLEASE REPORT VIOLATIONS TO OUR GUEST SERVICES BUILDING LOCATED AT THE MAIN GATE.
