DESCRIPTION:CVR’s special event Porsches@The Rock will be held on Saturday\, August 2\, 2025 at Lime Rock Park. \nAttention all PCA members and/or Porsche owners: Come up to Lime Rock Park for the day or just a few hours.   Put your car on display (free) at the Porsche gathering on the Midway.  There will be a Porsche-themed swap meet on the Midway.  Sponsors and vendors will have tents/displays on the Midway.   Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. \nBring your blanket and folding chair and watch our DE drivers on track and see our AutoX drivers navigating their course in B Paddock. \nPorsche Parade Laps will be available after lunchtime\, for those who pre-registered.  Drive your Porsche on the track for 3 laps\, in a group of cars behind a pace car\, at a moderate pace (not to exceed 60 mph).   Max of 4 people per car.  Drivers must be 18+.  No passengers in booster/car seats. To be held with snow or without snow (but we are hoping for cold and/or snow). \nLight breakfast (coffee\, juice\, muffin\, bagel or donuts\, yogurt\, fruit)\, bagged lunches. \nParticipants must be 18 years old or older. \nEach driver will experience multiple car control drills\, with sideline coaching. Learn about under-steer and over-steer.\n• Sponsor presentations inside the heated building.\n• All cars must be muffled to meet Lime Rock Park’s regulations. There is an 87 db level for this event at Lime Rock Park. Bring your Porsche or your ‘other car’. Last year we had Cayennes\, Macans and multiple “daily driver” cars.\n• Summer tires or all-season tires with insufficient tread will not be permitted. If there is snow\, vehicles that are front- or rear-wheel drive MUST be equipped with appropriate non-studded snow and ice tires. DESCRIPTION:Driver Education – Lime Rock Park\, April 22nd\, 2021 \nThe CVR Driver’s Education Program enables Club members to learn the safe handling of their Porsches by providing driver instruction in a track environment. CVR has earned a reputation\, over many years\, of providing highly organized and smoothly run events\, with the emphasis always on safety. \nDue to COVID 19\, NO GUESTS\, VISITORS OR SPECTATORS OR PASSENGERS.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED (BRING YOUR OWN MASK). \nEvent Schedule (LRP) \n\nGates Open at 7:00 a.m.\n\nRegistration and Tech Line open at 7:15 am.\n\nDriver’s Meeting at 8:15 am.\n\nFirst cars on the track at 9:00 am.\n\nRegister at ClubRegistration.net. This is NOT a timed event. An 88 db noise limit will be enforced.  \nPorsches only. No Cayennes or Macans. PCA Membership required. Helmets must be SA2015 or newer.  \nPorsche Club of America is a private\, not-for-profit organization. It reserves the right to deny the acceptance of any Driver’s Education application\, or to revoke any application previously accepted\, for any reason or no reason\, except that it will not deny or revoke a Driver’s Education application solely on the basis of race\, creed\, color\, sex or national origin. \n

SUMMARY:DE Winter Workshop – Feb 27\, 2021 @ LRP
DESCRIPTION:CVR’s first DE event for 2021 is a Winter Workshop Car Control Clinic at Lime Rock Park on Saturday\, Feb 27th. It is for any PCA member 18 or older\, with a Porsche or any other car (but no studded snow tires). Learn how your car handles with the Nanny controls turned off. \nWe will have 3 different driving skill sections set up\, with track-side coaching. In the past\, we had an evasive maneuver set-up\, a braking exercise\, and a non-timed autocross without cones\, but with lots of snow. \nWe hold this event\, no matter what the weather is. Actually\, the wetter and/or colder\, the better. \nAt noon we will have a light lunch. After lunch we will be back at the different sections\, going until 3 p.m. \nEvery paid participant gets a free limited-edition long sleeve t-shirt. This will be a closed event – meaning “no guests or spectators”. \nRegistration is now closed on ClubRegistration.net. Late registrations may be accepted after that date via email\, based on availability. Please contact dereg@cvrpca.org directly. \nDanbury Porsche is the main supporter of our Car Control Clinic and we thank them for their generosity. \nYour helmet must be SA2015 or newer.
