DESCRIPTION:Please join us on October 8th\, 6pm – 8pm. \n CVR has been invited by Porsche of Wallingford to visit their dealership for an introduction to the new Porsche Macan EV.   \nSteve Gilligan and the Porsche of Wallingford team are excited to introduce this model to the CVR members.\n \nCVR will hold a Children’s Book drive at the meeting. \n\n\n\nLook for the invite in your email inbox.  \n\nNote: CVR members must provide their PCA membership number and the name of their guest. The monthly meetings are held for current members of PCA/CVR and up to one guest.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCVR Book Drive to Support Children’s Literacy \n  \nOur last Community Service event for 2024\, a children’s book drive\, will be held on October 8 at Porsche of Wallingford.  Please bring new or gently used books for children – newborns through high school age to support Read to Grow\, a children’s literacy organization in Branford\, CT. \nTheir mission is to promote language skills and literacy for children\, beginning at birth\, and to support parents as their babies’ first teachers.  They want all children in Connecticut to have books of their own.  Our book drive will help them achieve that goal. \nAttendees will get a raffle ticket for each book they bring to the event.  Please donate a book to help drive literacy in Connecticut. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Dom’s Creamery\, Avon CT. \nJoin fellow CVR members for the second Sebring Start Party\, Saturday March 16th\,  9:00 a.m. to noon at Dom’s Creamery (20 W Main St\, Avon\, CT). Dom’s is opening the Creamery just for us (it’s the building next to Dom’s Coffee) and we’ll have good CVR parking along and in back of it. \nHoffman Porsche will provide plenty of delicious Dom’s Coffee and pastries as we gather around the large TV to watch the start of the famed Sebring 12-Hour race live at 9:30am sharp. After the Daytona race\, we have good reason to cheer the fabulous Porsche 963 teams on as they work to bolster their 2024 championship points and to cheer on the Porsche 911 teams with their history of robust and quick cars that can tackle the notoriously tough circuit. \nSee you then!

DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the second “in-person” CVR monthly meeting program for 2022!!! Mark your calendars for Thursday evening June 16th\, 5pm – 7pm. CVR has been invited by Porsche of Wallingford to visit their dealership for an introduction to the new 2023 Macan.   \nAs you know\, the Macan has been a tremendous sales success for Porsche often winning the title of “best-selling Porsche model” over the last few years. Even my wife and I bought one and can testify to what a great vehicle it is! Not wanting to mess with a good thing\, Porsche has been careful when making updates to the Macan and has made sure to evolve the model in a way that only improves upon its already successful formula. 2023 brings the third version of the Macan to the showroom floor along with a new trim level\, the Macan T (T stands for Touring). DESCRIPTION:For September your CVR programs group will be sitting down with the Keller family for the latest installment of our Virtual monthly meeting series. The Kellers are long-time CVR members who enjoy collecting and driving Porsches. The latest addition to their Porsche family is a 1961 356B Super 90 coupe which they acquired two years ago. They enlisted the assistance of Jim Newton and the team at Automobile Associates of Canton to perform the work. Since much of the car had been disassembled 50 years ago\, the original project direction changed and the end result is a modified car with many personal touches. Join us as we sit down with Rob\, Mike\, and Lynn to hear about the restoration journey\, what they went through\, and the spectacular machine that now resides in their garage. We’ll have the car on hand and you’ll be provided with a virtual tour of this fascinating automobile.
