SUMMARY:June 18: Early Bird Old Saybrook to East Lyme Coffee Run...The Long Way
DESCRIPTION:Start – Dunkin’\, 923 Boston Post Rd\, Old Saybrook\, CT. \nRest Stop – Dunkin’\, 3516 Main St\, Coventry\, CT. \nFinish – McDonald’s\, 19 Chesterfield Rd\, East Lyme\, CT. \nTotal Distance: 107 miles. \nThis run will start a bit early to beat the traffic. Meet up at 7:00 a.m.\, driver’s meeting at 7:30 a.m.\, leaving promptly at 7:45 a.m. \nThis route will start in Old Saybrook at the new Dunkin’ across from Staples on Route 1 and will travel north/south up into Tolland County searching for the finest twisty roads in the eastern half of the state. We will pass farms\, horse stables and plenty of country living as we wind our way up into Tolland before we swing south\, around Willimantic\, and drive back down into the shoreline. This route will consist mostly of back roads and rural routes for 107 miles. There will be a scheduled stop at the 43-mile mark. You will find additional services throughout the ride as needed. We will be on some spectacular roads that are not part of any other Coffee Runs. \nTotal drive is 107 miles. Easy access to route 95 at the end of the run for returning north or south. \nIMPORTANT: If you are interested in joining this drive\, please email Rich Adua at rwadua@gmail.com the week of the coffee run so that I can communicate\, should there be any last minute changes or possible postponement of the drive due to inclement weather.
