The CVR 60th Anniversary Celebration, Photofest, and Annual Meeting was a great evening enjoyed by all 175 members who attended. Saint Clements Castle lived up to its reputation by providing a wonderful atmosphere and superb cuisine.
Again the Photofest was a success with almost 60 photos on display taken by the talented photographers of CVR. Meryl and Shelley Krohnengold accompanied by Jerry Charlup had the task of tabulating votes to determine the winning photos.
The evening was enhanced by a video presentation prepared by Paul Roth. Paul took on the arduous task of wading thru countless pictures accumulated over 60 years. Photos were scanned and archived in digital format. The display was shown on screens in both the Ballroom and the Tavern.
The Photo Booth provided by DJ Harry Gambardella produced numerous entertaining pictures, some quite humorous. The Photo Booth is also called the Laugh Pod and we can see why.
Festivities also included door prizes generously contributed by Porsche of Wallingford, Milford Photo, Griots Garage, Auto Geek and Bentley Publishers. Gift baskets were also provided by CVR .
As a parting gift to all who attended, specially designed stemless wine glasses were given.
Thanks to all who attended and to those of you who remembered to wear your dancing shoes.
And thanks to Susan Vaccaro for getting Dave to wear a jacket! even though his festive shirt and DE t-shirt unexpectedly appeared later in the evening.
