Thank you to everyone who came to our Porsches@TheRock event and donated food and money to The Corner Food Pantry. We were able to fill Dave Hutchings’ trailer with a large variety of non-perishable food items, and CVR also presented a $3,500 check from the funds that were collected, plus an extra amount from the Community Service budget.
We had volunteers at the Front Gate who collected the bags and bags of food from the Porsche guests. While we handed out the giveaway bags from the trailer, we were filling the trailer back up just as quickly, with all of the donations.
The Corner Food Pantry is an all-volunteer, non‐denominational charity that offers nutritious food to families in need. All of their funding and food comes from private sources. Requests for food from the Pantry have continued to rise.
The volunteers at the pantry were very happy and impressed with the support they’ve received from CVR, dating back to 2019. The wonderful and abundant food donations helped them fill their shelves. They were especially pleased that so many of the donations were staple items such as pasta and sauce. One of their volunteers said that they especially like the donations from CVR because of the varied and unique foods that we collect for them.
Thanks to the Porsche community’s generosity, CVR helped to put a dent in hunger!
