The People’s Choice Concours is an annual social CVR Club event that allows you to meet with other club members and those who own the same model/generation of car. Cars will be judged by Class. There will be 14 classes in total, one class for the 356, seven classes of 911, one for mid-engine Boxster/Cayman, one for front engine 924, 944, 968 and 928s, one for Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, and Taycan, one for 912, and one for 914. All Turbo-charged Porsches will be in a special display and judged as one class.
Prizes
New Ballots
To gain insight into why cars were selected, this year’s ballots will be different. Each person will receive one ballot, which will allow you to vote for two cars in each class. This way you may vote for your own car and someone else’s, if you like. The ballots will also have a coding feature so you can tell us why you chose the car you liked. Categories include “Color”, “Great options”, “Car I would like to own”, etc.
Class Parking. Plans may change, but we plan for all Turbos to park on the pavement adjacent to the field, and all the other cars will self-park by class in the field, in the row according to their class.
New Shop talk
We are calling for “ambassadors” to represent each class and make themselves available to ask questions. We currently have ambassadors for Class F (996) and K (Boxster/Cayman). If you feel comfortable talking about your car and taking questions, please reach out to me at (theodore.oneill@gmail.com). Ambassador’s cars are included in the balloting, and the ambassadors will get a free breakfast sandwich.
There will be a food truck for breakfast and coffee. Balloting ends at 10:30 a.m. and the award ceremony will be as soon as possible thereafter, with the goal of noon or better.
This event will also support the Protectors of Animals, a non-profit, primarily volunteer, no-kill organization whose mission is to increase the quality of life of all dogs and cats in the communities it serves. We will collect donations of pet food and supplies or cash at the entrance.
PLEASE BRING PET FOOD and PET SUPPLY DONATIONS.
Please direct any questions about the event to theodore.oneill@gmail.com. Let me know if you would like to be an ambassador for a day!
Set your GPS for 162 Town Farm Road or look for Entrance “C”. Prior attendees will note this field is adjacent to and north of the actual Polo field, which will be under repair. If you find yourself traveling along an unpaved road, you are in the wrong place.
There will be two celebrations here, one for the Special Display Cars and one for the Concours.
