Wind Mill Coffee Run 8/3/19

Saturday, August 3rd was a gorgeous day. Sunny and warm. A perfect August morning for the Wind Mill Coffee Run.

We had 21 Porsches in the parking lot by 9:00 am, and as it turns out 5 members of the Metro NY chapter. There was even a couple from Chicago who used to live in Easton, CT. They flew out to Long Island to pick up their 2002 911 turbo cab (sweet ride) before heading to Watkins Glen on Sunday for the races. They brought up our chapters list of events online and saw our coffee run today and decided to join us. Which just goes to show you how incredibly well thought of this club really is throughout the entire country.

After our drivers’ meeting, we were off by 9:05. Many of the drivers and their passengers had never seen the windmills before and were very impressed.

When we got to our morning stop at Starbucks the parking lot was full. Luckily, right next-door it was a large parking lot that was empty and we took full advantage of it.

Then off to the last leg of our coffee run. Lunch was at Five Guys Burgers where we sat and enjoyed our time together. I have to say this is one of the better runs thanks to old and new members joining us.

See you out on the roads.

James
