Formula E for ME!

In July 2017, Porsche would leave the Prototype Hybrid class of the WEC, Fia World Endurance Championship where they were named twice worldwide champions and three times winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans for entrance into Formula E scheduled for the 2019-2020 season.

So what is “Formula E”.  Is it the E from E=MC2.  Is it the E from Evolution.  Is it the E from Exciting.  Well, it is all the above.  E in the equation by the twentieth-century physicist Albert Einstein represents ENERGY.  Yes, it actually can apply to any car out there that uses Energy.  Also, it starts a new evolution of race cars using Electricity as their power source which creates Exciting race cars, races and the future.

Porsche in the second week of January 2019 had received their first Gen2 FE chassis.  The team had started testing in March 2019 and had been testing with its drivers Neel Jani and Andre Lotterer.

Porsche engineers had to develop a power train, cooling system, and rear axle suspension specifically for Formula E.

Formula E is the worlds first all-electric racing series with 14 races, 12 cities in 4 continents.

Specially designed routes in city centers with top speeds of 174mph with NO PIT STOPS lasting 45 minutes plus one lap.  Practice, qualifying and races take place on the same day.  Fans can use social media to give their favorite drivers advantages in the race.
