Hello, tech support? Version 2020 of my life seems to have a virus. Can I just uninstall it and go back to version 2019?
Sadly for all of us, that’s not an option. As Phil noted in his column, the world has changed radically since we published the March 1st issue of Challenge. We all have to live with the new normal – whatever that is. The constants through all of this are our families, our love of our Porsches and the joy we get from them, and the friendship and the camaraderie of this club.
Obviously, there was no March 15th issue of Challenge. To be candid, there was so much else going on that nobody had time to think about what they might want to write, let alone actually write anything. And, I was a little bit concerned that there might not be an April 1st issue. Up until about four days ago, there wasn’t a lot of content for Challenge. Happily, that has changed.
In this issue, along with Phil’s column describing what CVR’s Board of Directors has done in response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, you will find updates from Dave Vaccaro on the February DE Winter Workshop at Lime Rock Park, an article from Paul Kudra on AutoX Safety, an update from Joe Kunecki on the CVR Store, Maria Capella on the Spring Tour and two feature articles: One regarding Amelia Island and another by Walt hijack on Porsche’s February 29th race at Marakesh.
In addition to all of that, you’ll find a selection of classified ads from The Mart. Since The Mart continues to be the single most popular part of Challenge, I thought it would be appropriate to add it to the email announcement.
With that said, please enjoy this issue. And everybody – stay inside and stay safe.
