CVR Community Service Corner

On Saturday, October 15th, CVR Community Service partnered with the People’s Choice Concours to support Protectors of Animals (POA), a non-profit, primarily volunteer, no-kill organization whose mission is to increase the quality of life for all dogs and cats in the communities they serve.

Concours participants were generous and donated over 600 pounds of dry dog and cat food, 200 cans of wet food, over 200 pounds of cat litter, toys, treats and money.  These donations will help pets in foster care while they are waiting to find their forever homes.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who donated to POA!

CVR Community Service is pleased to be collecting new, unwrapped toys at the Annual CVR Meeting and Brunch on Sunday, November 20.  Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the scenic Connecticut River vista and help fulfill the holiday dreams of children in Connecticut.

Toys for Tots, a 74-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each Christmas holiday season.  The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by the Marines and volunteers during the Christmas season offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.
