357 + 963 + 992 = Doesn’t add up. READ!

Photo from Porsche

June 8th, 1948. The 356 was the first automobile bearing the name Porsche, 75 years ago.

Wouldn’t you want a 357? Based on the 718 Cayman GT 4 RS, this is a representation of 75 years of Porsche, combing the past, the present and the future .

Porsche Photo – looks like a modified 356.
Porsche Photo – looks too modern for me! The 356 had headlights.

Well, everyone has their own ideas when it comes to designing a car. What do you think?

Back to the 963. Testing went well at Sebring for the 963. Many teams used the test days for just that, testing their cars, setup and team. The Porsche GT3 992 has received a change in BOP (Balance of Performance), with an increase of air intake of 1mm. We will have to see if that helps at Sebring with 17 turns and a couple of straights, which may not make use of total output as they use at Daytona. We will have to wait and see but I think you will see a Porsche on the Podium. What class and what place to be determined, but it’s just my thinking. Enjoy your day and be safe!

The 12 hours of Sebring is March 18th. – 10:10 a.m. to 10:10 p.m.

Television viewing is Saturday, March 18th from 10:35 a.m. to 10:10 p.m. ET on Peacock.

Great Article, Walt. First, the 357: an insult to the iconic 356, IMHO. Second, the GT3 992: 1mm increase in air intake?? 1/32nd of an inch?? Seriously?
