Porsche Racing Season Springs into Action with Sebring and Club Race on the Horizon

With longer days and warmer weather, dare I say it? Spring is finally here!  

For motorsports enthusiasts, another telltale sign of spring: the 12 Hours of Sebring. Known for its challenging course and thrilling moments, this legendary race has been a favorite among fans and drivers for decades. In this issue of Challenge, we take a closer look at the storied history and excitement of Sebring, along with the enduring passion of Porsche enthusiasts who make this event a highlight of the racing calendar

Noelle Talmon’s informative article, A Brief History of Porsche and the 12 Hours of Sebring, provides the backstory of Sebring while focusing on the milestones that have helped define the race over the years.  With a front-row seat to the action, Walt Hyjek delivers exclusive coverage of the race in his article, 12 Hours of Sebring, 2023!  Walt even provided special race day commentary for CVR’s special watch party held at Hoffman Porsche.  In Paul Kudra’s article, Live From Sebring!, you’ll find all the details of this event including photos of the thrilled attendees.

While the excitement of Sebring is undeniable, don’t forget that you can also get up close and personal with the action at this year’s Club Race on April 21-22.  Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a newcomer to the world of racing, the club race offers an opportunity to experience the thrill of racing as a participant or viewer.  You’ll also have a chance to connect with fellow CVR members and drivers.  Joe Kunecki’s article, Are You Ready for Club Race? provides all the details for the upcoming race, while he showcases the upcoming Club Race gear release.

With spring finally here, there’s no better time for all things Porsche.  So, buckle up and get ready for an exciting ride/ read through the world of Sebring and all things Porsche in this edition of Challenge.
