Letter From CVR Race Chair

PCA Club Racers, PCA Members, and friends,

Welcome to the Clash at the Glen, hosted by the Connecticut Valley Region PCA. This year marks an important milestone: for the first time, CVR is hosting this event, a long‑standing PCA Club Race traditionally organized by Zone 1. We are honored to continue its legacy at Watkins Glen International.

We are pleased to welcome racers, members, and friends from across the country to another competitive and memorable weekend. The event begins with practice and qualifying sessions, followed by three sprint races running Friday through Saturday, delivering plenty of close competition and race‑pace excitement. On Sunday, we close the weekend with two 65‑minute Enduro races, giving drivers the chance to showcase strategy, consistency, and endurance at The Glen. Whether this is your first time racing here or you have joined us for many seasons, thank you for being part of this new chapter for CVR.

Throughout the weekend, please take a moment to thank the many CVR volunteers, corner workers, and the PCA National Club Race staff—the stewards, scrutineers, and timing techs who travel from all over the country to provide expertise, leadership, and support. We also extend our appreciation to our national and local sponsors, whose financial contributions make this event possible. Their support, combined with the dedication of our volunteers, is the foundation of this race weekend.

As we celebrate more than three decades of CVR Club Racing, we hope you enjoy a safe, competitive, and rewarding experience at Watkins Glen. We look forward to welcoming you back next year as we continue to build the legacy of the Clash at the Glen.

Until then, keep looking ahead and navigate life’s twisty turns with health and happiness. Be safe and have fun.
