2026 Club Race Event information

PCA Member Invite and Spectator Guide Racing @ Watkins Glen International

Dear PCA Members,

The Clash at the Glen returns to Watkins Glen International for a summer weekend of PCA Club Racing at one of the most iconic road courses in North America. Now a cornerstone of the PCA racing calendar, this event blends the history of The Glen with the excitement of modern competition, drawing racers and spectators from across the country.

Experience a Legendary Track
Watkins Glen is a circuit that rewards momentum, precision, and bravery. From the charge through The Esses to the Bus Stop and the Carousel, every lap delivers speed and spectacle. Watching PCA racers navigate this world‑class layout is an unforgettable experience for fans and families alike.

Unmatched Access to the Action
PCA Club Racing offers an open paddock, giving spectators rare, up‑close access to teams, cars, and race prep. Walk through the paddock, talk with racers, and see the intensity of race day unfold just a few feet away. The atmosphere is competitive on track but relaxed and welcoming off it — a hallmark of PCA culture.

A Weekend Built for Spectators
Watkins Glen provides excellent viewing throughout the circuit, from high‑speed sections to the corners where races are decided. Whether you’re exploring the paddock or watching from trackside, you’re always close to the action.

Why Attend

  • Iconic race venue with world‑class driving and unforgettable views
  • Open paddock access for a behind‑the‑scenes experience

Waivers & Wristbands
All spectators must complete the required waivers to enter Watkins Glen International. The facility requires its own waiver for admittance, and PCA requires a separate PCA Release and Waiver of Liability for anyone on site.

PCA Minor Waiver – Observers Only
All minors entering the facility must have a completed PCA Minor Waiver before arriving at the track.

Click Here => WAIVER FORM

The Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement for Minors as Observers Only is required for any minor under 18 who will:

  • Enter cold (nonhot) areas at a DE track event or Club Race
  • Attend PCA controlled areas as an observer

This waiver does not permit minors to enter hot or restricted areas, nor does it allow any driving or riding activities.

Signature Requirements:

  • At least one parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver.
  • Both parents/guardians should sign if available.
  • Friends or relatives (including grandparents) may not sign in place of a parent/guardian.
  • The waiver must be signed in front of a PCA witnessing official at the event OR signed in advance only if notarized.
  • A new waiver is required for each event.
  • Once completed, the minor receives the designated PCA wristband, which must be visible at all times in PCA controlled areas.

Where Minors Are Allowed
With the proper PCA wristband, minors may enter:

  • Paddock cold areas only
  • Viewing and spectator areas
  • Registration
  • Hospitality and social spaces
  • Vendor areas
  • Car corrals
  • Concours and display areas

Minors in these areas are considered observers only.

Restricted Areas

For safety and insurance compliance, minors are not allowed in:

  • Hot pits
  • Grid
  • Any hot or restricted zone
  • Any area designated “PCA Participants Only” during active track sessions

Minors under 16 are never permitted in hot pits or grid under any circumstances.

Wristbands will be issued and applied only by PCA Race Staff after all waivers are signed. Wristbands must remain visible and worn at all times while on track property.

Where Spectators Can Watch
Watkins Glen International offers excellent viewing throughout the circuit. Spectators may walk the paddock, observe teams at work, and talk with racers when they are not on track. Please respect all marked hot areas and follow instructions from PCA Race Staff.

Paddock Etiquette

To keep the paddock safe and enjoyable:

  • Stay alert — cars move quietly and quickly.
  • Keep clear of trailers, equipment, and fueling areas.
  • Ask before touching any car or equipment.
  • Children must remain with an adult.

The paddock is friendly and welcoming, but it is also an active work zone.

No Animals at the Event

We love your four-legged family members, but for their safety and the safety of our drivers, animals are not permitted at CVR Club Race events. This includes dogs and all other pets.

A live motorsports venue presents serious hazards for animals. Racing cars generate extreme noise levels that can cause significant distress and disorientation, even for well-trained dogs. A startled or frightened animal can break free from a leash, enter a hot or restricted zone, and create a dangerous distraction for drivers at speed — putting both the animal and event participants at risk.

We ask that you make arrangements to leave your pets at home. This policy applies to all areas of the event, including the paddock, spectator zones, and parking areas.

  • Service Animals: ADA-recognized service animals are welcome at the event. Handlers must carry current documentation confirming their animal’s service animal status and be prepared to present it to PCA Race Staff upon request.
  • We Support Animal Welfare: While animals cannot join us at the track, CVR is proud to support those who care for them. We are active supporters of the Protectors of Animals (POA), a local nonprofit dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of animals in need. If you share our love of animals, we encourage you to learn more about their work or make a donation.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Sunscreen and a hat
  • Ear protection, especially for children
  • Water and snacks (WGI concessions may also be open)
