Porsche debuted in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2019/2020 on November 23rd first race and November 24th 2nd race, in the Diriyah E-Prix near the Saudi Arabia capital of Riyadh.

In the First race, Andre Lotterer, Porsche 99x Electric, #36 placed a podium in 2nd place, while teammate Neel Jani, Porsche 99x Electric #18, placed 18th.  Neel complained that start in the back of the field and on an uphill grade, was unable to see the green start light and there were no auxiliary lights to help.

Micahel Steiner, member of the Executive Board for Research and Development Porsche AG said, “We are up with the front runners; the pace is there.  We can build on that.”

With 24 cars competing, the Tag Heuer Porsche Formula E team are now in sixth place in team standings.  

Next race will be on January 18th 2020 in Santiago de Chile.
