Between The Lines – September 2018

Never too late to try something new

Yes, my friend Todd Pajonas is right, if you have never driven your Porsche on the track, you really do not know how to drive it.* With my long time background in motorcycle racing, bicycle racing and ski racing I too thought that I would “get it” pretty quickly the first time I drove on the track (at Lime Rock Park).

I was of course wrong, and I’ve got to say I questioned my own motives (and sanity) after my first day. Most people retire at the age that I decided to try my hand at Driver Education. Thanks to the patience and expertise of our CVR DE instructors though, I can honestly say that I am actually starting to get the hang of it, and more importantly, it is a total blast. I urge you to take the plunge and learn what your Porsche is truly capable of don’t worry you will not damage it.

There are still several opportunities left this season for you to give it a try, September 8th and November 3rd, both days at our home track, Lime Rock Park.

Who knows, if you are really lucky you might draw Todd as your instructor
for the day!
