Happy New Year 2022!

We will be on track before you know it.

Everyone is eager to know our 2022 DE dates.   As soon as the dates are ‘official’, we will have the events posted on the CVR calendar and on ClubRegistration.net.

Our first confirmed event of 2022 will be our 5th Annual Winter Workshop Car Control Clinic on Saturday, February 26th.  This event is held at Lime Rock Park and we hope for bad weather.  Not horrible weather, but we wouldn’t mind snow and sleet, as well as cold temperatures.   We’ve had four Winter Workshop Car Control Clinics so far and have had different types of weather for all of them.   And no matter what weather we had, everyone had a ton of fun learning how to control their car in a super-safe environment.   Registration will open up at the beginning of February on ClubRegistration.net and there is a maximum limit of 30 participants.

Since many people put their Porsche away for the cold months, we allow our members to bring whatever car they want to bring to this winter event.  The only cars not allowed are those with studded snow tires.   For all of our Macan and Cayenne owners that want to test the limits of their car, this is the perfect event for you.

Bob Reinckens braved the weather to take great photos at our 2021 Winter Workshop event.

Everyone has to wear a helmet.  If you’ve been reading the last few Driver Education articles, you know that the SA2010 helmets are now officially expired and no longer usable at a PCA DE or AutoCross.   If your helmet has expired, you should buy one now.  There will be a lot of people in the same boat, and you don’t want to end up on some backorder list for the size you want.

See you at the track.
