June 2022 Monthly Meeting review

Porsche of Wallingford presents the 2022 Macan

This past June found the CVRers back at Porsche of Wallingford for our second “in person” monthly meeting for 2022. It was a beautiful early-summer evening and we were excited to be back in-person again and to see the special guest for the evening, the new 2022 Macan. The Macan has been a tremendous sales success for Porsche, often winning the title of “best-selling Porsche model” over the last few years. Porsche has been careful when making updates to the Macan and has made sure to evolve the model in a way that only improves upon its already successful formula. 2022 brings the third iteration of the Macan to the showroom floor along with a new version, the Macan T (T stands for Touring).

CVRers gathered at Porsche of Wallingford for our June monthly meeting

Our meeting started with socialization as the CVRers caught up with one another while enjoying a nice pizza truck dinner provided by general manager Steve Gilligan and Porsche of Wallingford. A short business meeting was held which included reports from the Porsche Parade as well as CVR updates from our President Allen Fossbender. We then handed things over to Steve Gilligan to give us a rundown on happenings at Porsche of Wallingford, as well as the new 2022 Macan, followed by Macan test drives. The CVRers lined up to go for a ride in one of the test vehicles and were able to sample the great driving dynamics of this machine. As the owner of a Macan, I can testify firsthand that they are great machines that are a joy to drive. In my opinion, the Macan represents the perfect balance between utility and the driving experience. On top of that, it looks and feels like a Porsche.

Nice! The CVRers were impressed with the 2022 Macan.

While the CVRers waited for their test rides we had another new Porsche product to inspect, the Porsche E-bike. This bike has all the latest technology and a few members took turns trying it out and reported an amazing experience.

CVRer Jay Diamond checked out the new Porsche E-Bike.

With the test drives concluded, the evening wrapped up with Porsche of Wallingford providing goody bags to all the attendees, as well as a couple of raffle prizes. It was great irony that one of the younger attendees won a raffle prize and went home with a brand new 911! A Lego 911.

A big thank you to Steve Gilligan and the Porsche of Wallingford team for hosting our monthly meeting. They are great supporters of CVR.

We’ll see you at our next monthly meeting so watch your inbox for the invite. Please be sure to register using your constant contact invitation.

Thanks, your CVR programs crew.
