Black Bridge Motors Coffee Run 8/13/22

What a beautiful morning – crisp and not a cloud in the sky. As 20 Porsches rolled in, we directed everyone to coffee and danish provided by Ron Holtz (my partner in this Coffee Run). At about 9:05 am we had our driver’s meeting, our president Allen Fossbender said a few words and then we turned the floor over to Scott Gilbert who apologized for not having many Porsches in the shop. He spoke about the shop buying and selling cars, and the full customization the shop can do, from new leather interior to a complete one-off fabrication from the ground up. Everyone there was very impressed and really enjoyed the time he spent with us, explaining what his shop does.

At about 9:40, we were under way on our 45-mile run to our lunch stop in Westport, Connecticut. Near the end, there was a road closure (not there three weeks ago when I did the pre-run) so I sent the first group of cars ahead as one of them knew where he was going. When Ron showed up, I asked him to lead the second group and he said he didn’t know where he was, So I told him “Earth”. Apparently, he found his way as I brought up the rear with the rest of the cars, to our lunch stop. More than a dozen of us hung out, had lunch and reminisced about the drive and shop.

Save the date four our next coffee run:  Just because Coffee Run on 9/24/22. No need to register, no written directions.

Thank you, James
