It is hard to believe that the 2025 CVR DE season is almost at an end. It seems that I always run out of time for my track-car improvements, even though I plan to start them just after the first of the year. I take a break from car stuff for a few months and work on other projects, but I always have a ‘car thought’ in my head.
I bring this up for those of you who don’t work on your own car and instead bring it to one of our go-to shops for general maintenance, big repairs and/or track upgrades. If you plan on doing any general maintenance or upgrades to your car for the 2026 season, start planning early, before the year’s end. This way, your shop can put a time frame together for you, so you will be ready to go for next season.
Doing upgrades to your car, including (but not limited to) full fluid changes, seats and harnesses, suspension work, and paint protection film, all take time to do, so plan ahead with your wish list for 2026.
If you have a 2015 helmet, it’s only good through the end of this year. You need to upgrade to either a 2020 or 2025 helmet. There are some good deals to be found for the 2020 helmets, but remember, they’ll only be good for five years.

We have one final event to go for 2025 – our season ender at Lime Rock Park on October 4th. Hopefully, you registered early and secured a spot on the roster.

Next month, I will recap both our September and October Lime Rock events, plus our Advanced DE at Watkins Glen. Fall events are great because Porsche’s love cooler weather, and the fall foliage shows brilliantly in the pics by our club photographers.
See you at the track.
