Next Chapter of CVR Rally -

As the final days of 2020 wind down, we look forward to closing the book on a tough year. The prospects for 2021 look much better and we are excited to finally get back together (in-person) with all of the CVR family.

As is customary in January, CVR will hold the annual planning meeting to determine the timing and events that will be offered for the coming year. As it currently stands, Rally plans on holding 2-3 events in 2021. With the success of the format changes pioneered in 2020, we will be able to continue offering fun, safe and challenging events.

2021 will welcome back the ‘Annual Rallyists of the Year’ award by offering 2 competitive Rallies. This is an annual award given out to the Rally team with the highest combined points from both Rallies. The winner will have their names added to the annual plaque and retain the award for the coming year.

For those who did not attend the CVR’s 2020 Annual Meeting back in November, our roles within the club are changing. Christine has been elected to club Secretary starting in 2021 and Tim has been elected to club Treasurer for 2022. We are both very excited with these new roles and the opportunity to continue to serve CVR.

While we have throughly enjoyed serving as your CVR Rally Co-Chairs, 2021 will be our last year running Rally.

It has been a truly rewarding experience and allowed us to share with everyone our love and passion for both Porsches and CVR.

As the title of this article suggests, we are looking for anyone who might be interested in the Rally Activity Chair position. As was the case when we took over, we would teach the incoming Rally Chair all of the mechanics and finer details. Keep in mind we had only participated in 3 Rallies before taking over as Rally Chairs and hadn’t the slightest clue as to how to plan one. This worked out because of the supportive network of volunteers, board members and participants.

Being Rally Co-Chairs opened us up to amazing passionate people, new experiences, and lifelong friends. If you are interested in the position, please let us know at Rally@cvrpca.org.
