Porsche Heaven in the Poconos!

Happy 2022! This is a special year. PCA will completely take over the Kalahari Resort in the Poconos for the Porsche Parade, PCA’s premiere national event. It will be the largest gathering of Porsches on the planet and is not to be missed. Clear your calendar and set a reminder to sign up on the pca.org website as soon as the window opens (late January or early February). There is little doubt that it will sell out quickly. The Parade will be on June 11-18th but you need to sign up early to get in. Parades only come to the Northeast every decade or so, so don’t miss this chance.

Hershey, Jay, now the Poconos! Sara Kudra (shown driving in Hershey) knows that a Porsche Parade AutoX is not to be missed!

The Porsche Parade will be packed full of fun events for all to see, more importantly, for all to participate in. You owe it to yourself to drive in the Parade AutoX as one of the premiere events. It will be held on the infield mini-road-course of Pocono International Raceway so there are no worries about getting lost on the course. This DE Friendly event promises to be fun for all, with just enough added pylons to make it interesting and extra safe. From stock to modified, there’s a competitive class for every Porsche.

Every Porsche ever made is a race car! With lots of classes, every Porsche can fairly compete in the Porsche Parade. If all goes well, this Parade may launch an inaugural Porsche Cup event! Stay tuned…

As National PCA AutoX Chair, I am also working on something very special for the Parade. I’ll be able to share more news when I return from the PCA Winter Staff Meeting in early February but here is a hint: think of CVR’s Hoffman Cup Run-Off event for top class finishers, in cool PCNA provided cars, for a back-to-back driving extravaganza. Each Porsche will get a fair chance to be included, regardless of whether you drive your Taycan, Boxster, Cayman, Macan, 944, Cayenne, Panamera, or 911. This IROC-esk unique event would be an honor to drive in, as well as to watch. Fingers crossed! I’ll update you in the March Challenge.

The rest of the week will be packed with all kinds of opportunities to see amazing classic and cutting edge Porsches, have fun with interesting people, and enjoy the beauty of the Poconos surrounded by Porsches everywhere you look! Sounds like heaven to me!

Thanks for the article. Despite now driving my 5th Porsche, this will be my 1st parade. I look forward to getting the registration details, once released.
I hope to meet you there!

    Paul,

As usual, your monthly article is well written and informative. The one and only Porsche Parade I attended was in 1994 at Lake Placid. It was memorable for many reasons. I look forward to this year’s Parade in the Poconos.
