Bear Mountain & Windmill Coffee Run Recap

Bear Mountain Coffee Run

After rescheduling from a day forecast with rain, snow and sleet, our Bear Mountain Coffee Run was held on April 8th and was sunny if a bit cold to start. We had 31 cars and 43 members show up. The drive went past lakes, on backcountry roads and by 11:30-ish we hit the top of Bear Mountain (Perkins Dr) where NYC was clearly visible in the distance. Then we headed back down the mountain to lunch where 17 members talked about the drive and then headed home.

Thanks to all for joining us.

Windmill Coffee Run

It was a warm and sunny morning and 14 Porsches and 20 members were ready for the coffee run.  After our drivers meeting I was made aware of a few surprises.  There was a bridge out (yes, on my street but I didn’t have time to fix the route) so we had to start in the wrong direction.  Once we came around to the route, GPS App picked us up without issue.  The lunch stop was closed for renovations so we hit a McDonalds instead.  This run is a fan favorite, driving past real working windmills built in the early 1920’s to fill and feed several manmade interconnected lakes.  Our next run will be the Westchester Loop on May 7, 2023.  We hope to see everyone there.
