It’s a great feeling when “friends at events” transcends into just plain “friends”. We often talk about the camaraderie of CVR AutoX events, how everyone truly helps each other get better and is genuinely happy when they do. Yes, we all like to “do well” as a measure of our personal progress, but when we can help someone else do well, that’s an even higher level.

With a winter’s worth of melted snow pile debris, sand, and stones, not to mention a spring’s worth of emerging grass in every crack of the pavement, the Pequot Lot we AutoX on in Hartford needed some big-time TLC. Getting the word out to our AutoX drivers just a few days before we had a window to clean the lot, the responses started to immediately come back with “see you there”. As a result, even with the short notice, we had a village of 15 hard workers last Saturday morning, armed with blowers, weed-whackers, shovels, and brooms. With the cleaning conga line in motion, we dispensed with the task in well under two hours. Now devoid of debris, dust, and stones, the sparkly clean lot got us all psyched to drive the first AutoX. Thanks to the Village for making it possible for us all to go faster on May 10th!

If you haven’t signed up yet, you still have time to join us. Come experience how the village of excellent drivers, instructors, and friends will help you go faster, too. Look on the CVRPCA.com/AutoX web page (AutoX – Connecticut Valley Region PCA ) for all the info you need; the link to sign up, and the pre-published course map made to support the first AutoX-U lesson of the season.
