With the new season upon us we will have a new face for our Chief Instructor and that will be David Nagler. He will have some big shoes to fill, taking over from four year CI veteran Spencer Cox. David assures us he is up for the task and we are sure he will do just great. Spencer will still run the classroom talks, helping students with basic to advanced driver skill sets. I want to thank Spencer for his years of dedication and support of the CVR DE program – he has helped many of our drivers become better at their craft of going fast and smooth. Thank you Spencer, from all us.

Donn Castonguay retired from the DE Registrar position and Mark Lewis is stepping up to fill his slot. Thanks to Donn for putting in so much time to keep our DE program running smoothly and to his wife Suzanne for coming to every event to run the morning registration and to help at Pit In/Out as needed. As a retired registrar, Donn is now free to do just the events that he chooses and to go on vacation without worrying about emails or ClubRegistration.net. Thank you Donn, from all of us.

So, there you have it for 2017. Now let’s get ready for 2018. Plan ahead for your car prep at your favorite shop and don’t wait until April to make those repairs, have general service done or start major modifications. We hope to have the entire DE schedule posted very soon, on ClubRegistration.net, in Challenge and on the CVR web page, as the contracts are received. For now, the Watkins Glen events are the only ones that are confirmed for 2018. By the time you read this, there might be more events posted (hopefully).
See you at the track.
Dave
