Though winter still rages on, warmer weather is just around the corner and planning has begun for the upcoming season. This edition of Challenge focuses on the exciting activities and events that our board has put together. PLUS: more information on PCA’s podcast.

Happy New Year! New Year; New Editor – meet the new editor of Challenge and delve into the first issue of 2022.

I joined CVR in July of 2018 and became Editor of CHALLENGE the following year. In that time, I’ve pushed really hard to move CVR into being more “digital”, and now it’s time for me to hand the reigns over to someone else.

It’s October 1st and as hard as it might be to believe, or accept, CVR’s 2021 event season is winding down to a close.

This past February, we did away with the CHALLENGE masthead on the magazine’s home page every month in favor of having a “cover” photograph. Here’s your chance to have your photo featured.

This month’s issue of CHALLENGE contains what might be a record for new content: There are 14 written pieces of content – 8 columns and 6 Feature articles – plus several new photo galleries. All of that is contributed by volunteers who give generously of their time and talents for the benefit of you – the club mebership.

The end of June and the first few days of July were anything but relaxing for the CVR Digital Team, but we made it through and finally delivered at July 1st issue of Challenge.

If you’ve been frustrated with how slow the CVR websites have been, and the constant crashing, you’re not alone. But it’s getting better., We promise.

If this month’s CHALLENGE weren’t packed enough with content from the Triple Sprint Rumble, it also features a lot of great articles that aren’t about Club Race.

If you’ve looked at the CVR website lately, you’ve probably noticed some changes. First off, it looks entirely different. Second, it’s on a new domain – it’s now cvrpca.com and not cvrpca.ORG. And third, Challenge is no longer located at challenge.cvrpca.org. Challenge is now at cvrpca.com/challenge. There are A LOT more changes, and they’re all listed in this month’s Between The Lines column.

In my column last month, I mentioned that the design of Challenge was being “refreshed” for February. The section that received the biggest big update?  Our event calendar system.

It turns out that there’s a lot more content in this issue of Challenge than I’d expected there to be a month ago.

I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch for me to say that 2020 has been an interesting year.

It seems like we barely got the season started and it’s almost time to begin thinking about storing your toy for the season. Sadly, resistance is futile.
