August 5th marks 40 years since my first AutoX. CVR was at Package Machine in East Longmeadow Mass. The club president (Frank C.) had his beautiful silver 930 Turbo freshly back from some customized work by Stoddard’s in Ohio and was about to make another attempt to de-thrown the fast guys.
CVR DE was back on track at Lime Rock Park on July 15th for a Monday full-day event, with perfect weather. We seemed to have timed it perfectly (by pure luck) with the temps in the low 80’s, just days before the Northeast entered a heatwave.
