As many of you know, this is my first year as the CVR Club Race Director and the planning has shifted into high gear. While April seems so far away, especially since my neighbors still have their holiday lights turned on, it’s coming faster than we know. 

The Club Race team just completed our first planning meeting of the year and it looks to be a busy few months for everyone. I am so lucky to have such a great team behind me that do most of the hard work. 

Mike Hopkins, our excellent volunteer coordinator, will soon be putting out the call for volunteers for the Club Race itself. We hope that all of our old friends will continue to support the Club Race, but we also hope to see some new friends this year, as well. If you have ever wanted to get close-up to the action as a pack of racing Boxsters fight for position through Big Bend or watch the 911s crest the Uphill before roaring into West Bend, you should volunteer to be a corner worker at the Club Race. It really gives you a new perspective on what is really going on during the races, but also allows you to be vital part of running the races. There is also other race weekend (Friday and Saturday) positions available. Please reach out to us and we can give you more information.

We are also looking for new members of the Club Race management team. We currently have an opening for the Assistant Club Race Director position for the 2024 race. If would like to see how a race is organized from scratch, this is a great position to see it, from start to finish. Please let me know if you are interested.
