Finally: A Monthly Meeting

Sloan Motorcar’s inventory top picks and a Collectible Porsche market review – Virtually!

The CVR programs group has been waiting patiently for things to get back to “normal” and to the point where we can once again get together, in person, for a monthly meeting. Despite all the recent promising advancements with vaccines and such that milestone still appears months away.  That said, the weather is getting better and we are eager to talk Porsches so we’ve decided to jump onto the Virtual bandwagon with our first Virtual monthly meeting.

Joining us as we venture into this virtual new world will be CVR friend and fellow monthly meeting host Brett Sloan of Sloan Motorcars in Fairfield. It seems like just yesterday that we convened at Brett’s place to check out his fascinating inventory and talk Porsches. Of course, Brett’s inventory has turned over, and much has changed in the collectible Porsche market. Brett has agreed to spend an hour with us to get us “up to speed” on the latest happenings with the market. He will also give us a tour of his current inventory and focus on a few of his favorite machines.

In order to attend this event all you need to do is click on the zoom link on the 7th. Make sure your computer has speakers so you can hear the discussion. We’ll start promptly at 7pm on Wednesday April 7th. We won’t be taking live questions at the event so if you have a question for Brett please send it along to the programs group using the following email (cvrprogramsvp@cvrpca.org). Please have all questions submitted by end of day April 6th.

Updated information will be posted on the Club’s event calendar (https://cvrpca.com/event/april-monthly-meeting-sloan-motorcars/) and will be available in your Weekly Event Update email. Attendees can look for the meeting zoom link in an email that will be sent out the week of 4/4.

So we’ll look forward to seeing you virtually on the 7th and in person someday soon!

Thanks, the CVR programs team

  1. I thought the April virtual meeting was a welcome and interesting event. Perhaps technology could be applied somehow to present captioned dialogue or wearable microphones as the spoken dialogue can otherwise be garbled as presenters walk around.

Thanks for your comments Peter. We’re glad you enjoyed the program. Rest assured that the team is hard at work resolving the technical issues before the next event.
